This past weekend, Geeks a Gogo and our friends from teh MidWesteros Game of Thrones Cosplayers dressed up as our beloved Game of Thrones characters. It's no secret that my friends and I have been huge fans of the show. From entering and winning Cosplay contests, to hosting Trivia and viewing night - we're sure to support ANYTHING Game of Thrones! So, of course we had to check out the Game of Thrones Season 6 Behind the Scenes Experience at the Petrillo Music Shell in Chicago's Grant Park.
I managed to whip up an outfit for the event the same day and it took me about 3 hours to complete a Lyanna Mormont Cosplay. Quite fitting for the 40 degree weather, as the event was outside!
Much to our delight, they had actual pieces from the show, and the Iron Throne was everything!
What I also loved about the exhibit was the "movie magic" that they let you experience. Each pavillion had a different photo op that placed attendees into scenes from season 6!
The event made you feel as if you were really visiting Westeros, and of course, the incredible cosplays made it feel even more real!
